In the last post, I left the garden for a music-themed writing prompt from WordPress. This week, it’s back outside — or rather, it’s back to the photos that I originally had taken if I hadn’t come across that writing prompt. And it’s a good thing I snapped these photos when I did — because a week of wind later, where once there were leaf-laden trees, there now stands bare branches.
While the leaves may have fallen, though, there will always be music. Please, have a listen and stroll though the colors of autumn.
stunning.
Hi Alesia. Looking up helps to warm up the chill in the air. Happy leaf raking!
Beautiful! Music is perfect – makes me want to curl up in front of the fire with hot chocolate and an old black and white Christmas movie!
Hi Kathy. Now, you’re talking my language. There’s nothing like the original!
Beautiful! I love the fall leaves. This year, since I now live in New England, I am just thrilled with all the vibrant colors that just light up the trees. I can never pick a favorite fall color. Orangey-reds? Bright yellows? I just love them all!
How exciting for you to experience a New England fall. I’m sure by now, though, you’re either close to peak or beyond. Now brace yourself for a New England winter. Brrrrrr! 🙂
I’ve learned over the years, to enjoy the fall colors quickly. It seems we lose them overnight around here. Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing.
Our fall was a little odd this year. We’re in a rain deficit, so the leaves turned, browned, and fell pretty quickly. In fact, the last windy day was like a ticker tape parade, although it was the last of the leafy holdouts coming down. Be well!

The colors in the photos are just gorgeous, Kevin! I loved the autumn leaves! And Nat’s version has always been a favorite. I’m glad I found that somehow WP disconnected us. LOL! Suddenly I wasn’t following you. If I don’t hear from someone for a little while I usually go to the site and figure out why. 🙂 Hope you’re continuing to do well with your downsizing efforts. With the glorious outdoors we just don’t need as much stuff indoors, I don’t think!
Hi Debra. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos and even more so that I took the photos when I did. In no time at all, the combination of cold, wind, and a rain deficit resulted in a massive leaf fall. Downsizing should be so easy and quick! 🙂
