Hello.
I wanted to get a quick post off to all of you. At the moment, I am sitting in my shuttered house in Fort Lauderdale. The first squall of Hurricane Irma has just arrived.
As you can see, Joe and I have secured the house as best we could. The yard and garden are packed up and stored away. We have our supplies and we’re ready for a long night.
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for your well wishes and concern. I will post again about Irma and all of my random thoughts — but for now . . . I wanted to get a short post out to you before I lose power, Internet, and wifi.
If you’re in the storm’s path, be safe!
Best,
Kevin (NGDM)
Sending love and good vibes ❤
I love good vibes! Thanks, Linda.
Let us know when you get on the other side of safe… We worry so. Hugs & hopes, the Harpers
We definitely will, Cathey. 🙂
Hope you all stay safe.
Thank you!
Hang in there. Prayers are coming your way!
Thanks, Lisa. It’s been a rollercoaster all week.
Be safe!!
Thanks Just Jane!
Sending best wishes and prayers!
Thanks, Jo — the wind is howling out there at the moment.
Thanks for this…you’ve been on my mind, and I wondered if you’d evacuated (which seems scary, too). I’ll look forward to an “all clear” from you, hopefully soon.
That all clear can’t get here soon enough, Cindy. We did not evacuate. Although we’re on a canal, it’s far enough inland that storm surge isn’t an issue. The biggest issue is wind — and I worry about friends and family on the West Coast. Thank you.
Keeping you in my thoughts. Take care and be safe.
Thank you, PBM. 🙂
I hope you are able to ride out the storm safely.
Hi Jackie. Thank you — and I made it. 🙂
Let us know how you weather this massive storm system — looks like you two prepared as best you could. May the all-clear signal come soon!
Hi Kat. Power returned and the Internet just came on — now I’m catching up. Thanks!
We in the PNW are praying for you and f&$k this storm!
LOL — You said it Alesia! Thanks!
Be safe and thank you for sharing, I shall pray for you and your family,

Hi Susan. Thank you!
Coming from a bushfire area here in Victoria, I can appreciate your stress and concerns. Thoughts and prayers go to you both and to all others at this tense time – take care xx
Flavia
Hi Flavia. Many thanks!
Stay safe ❤ Sending best wishes from UK
Thank you, Colette!
Take care, hope this period is over soon!
Hi Graziella. Thank you! I’m hoping for the same thing. 🙂
Stay safe
Thank you, Dorris. 🙂
Been thinking about you and hope you both are safe!
Thanks, Brenda. Much appreciated.
Have been hearing all day from family on the west coast that they and their homes came through the storm okay. Hope that is true for you too — and that you get power back soon. (I remember being without power here for ten days after a big ice storm in 1998, and the sense of adventure wore off about day 3!)
Hi Jean. Thank you. Yup — Power came on at the end of last week and just in time. I was at my breaking point. 🙂
